It takes a village to raise a baby… I mean house. And we’re going to need all the help we can get! Here’s a few things you can do to get involved:
1. Come out for a tour or work party! A big part of our mission is education, especially of the hands-on variety. We’re always up to fun projects, from solar cookers to vegetable oil powered generators, and love to show them off. If you’re in Western New York, get in touch so we can figure out a good time for you to stop by. We frequently have work parties, constantly give tours, and plan to eventually lead workshops on green building techniques.
2. Money does not grow on trees, but it can help plant them! If you’ve got some spare dollars, consider throwing them in our direction. Even a dollar or two will help buy a box of nails, a length of pipe, or a few pounds of lentils for our volunteers. To donate any amount securely, using PayPal, click on the button below.
3. Get on our mailing list! We’ll be sending out updates about what’s going on, and letting people know about upcoming work days and workshops. We will not spam! To sign up, shoot an email to dachaproject-at-gmail-dot-com.
4. Have some stuff laying around? Are you in the Western New York area? Any donation of tools, building materials, and other cool stuff is much appreciated! Contact us to arrange a pickup or drop-off! dachaproject-at-gmail-dot-com.
5. Are you a green building expert? Do your friends call you the straw bale whisperer? Do you have experience with green construction? Consider sharing your expertise! We’d love for you to take a look at our plans, make suggestions, or just chat.
6. We probably forgot something. Make your own suggestion here_____________.
If you want to lend a hand, get in touch at dachaproject-at-gmail-dot-com.
THANK YOU!
